Foods With The Most Pesticides

Most people want to eat better, but that takes a lot of discipline. In a perfect world we would all eat organic Non-GMO foods but for some people it is absolutely necessary. If you already know that you are sensitive to gluten and dairy and other foods then you very likely have a sensitive nervous system.

I have noticed in my practice that these types of people are more sensitive to emotions and other people and situations. Quite simply they are more reactive. Being like this has good points and bad points. The good side is that you will not as likely eat toxins and junk because you body will alert you. The bad side is that you will be more symptomatic than other people.

Pesticides are not good for anyone but for “sensitive types” it can make a big difference. Getting away from pesticides can help reduce skin conditions, joint pain, brain fog, ADD and stomach problems.

Coffee and chocolate has a lot of pesticides. It is grown outside of the US and has even worse rules and enforcement about pesticides than we do.

Washing Your Vegetables:

Pesticides are oil based. This means that they do not wash off I water. They do this because they do not want the rain to wash off the pesticides. So rinsing them in water does NOTHING.

How to wash vegetables to remove vegetables

Mix 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water to (1:3 ) in a spray bottle.

Spray on produce to get rid of pesticide that is on the outside.

Rinse with water.

-OR-

Fill a bowl with water and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar, still use the 1:3 vinegar to water ratio

Place your fruits and veggies in the bowl.

Soak for 15  minutes.

Rinse with water.

Washing pesticides off the outside of the produce does not get rid of the pesticides that have gotten into the soil and therefore into the food, but at least this is a start. The best option is to buy organic.

According to the Environmental Workshop , it has estimated group that individuals can reduce their exposure by 80% if they switch to organic when buying those foods listed above.

Foods lower in pesticides:

Onions, Pineapple, Avocado, Asparagus, Mango, Frozen Sweet peas, Papayas, Eggplant, Kiwi, Domestic Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Sweet potatoes, Grapefruit and Mushrooms
